ABOUT
ME
Dealing with changing jobs, going to college, moving to a new place, gaining a new or losing a beloved family member, starting or ending a relationship, all of these things are difficult. Life is pain and pain is inevitable, and it's normal to feel overwhelmed, to feel worried and scared. It’s normal to be afraid to try and sort life out by yourself, trying to find the peace that all of us desperately crave. It all feels challenging and hopeless.

I believe there is a unique outcome for all of us. Sometimes, finding that unique outcome can be too great to work through on your own, whether it’s due to trauma, personal skills, or emotional difficulties. Sometimes it helps to have someone there, to help you sort through your worries and achieve your unique outcome. That is how I view my work as a therapist, to provide guidance and support for my clients in a place where they can feel safe and secure.

My name is Jin Wen Ling. I come from a multi-lingual family and a diverse cultural background and am fluent in English, Mandarin, and different dialects of Chinese. Graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Master’s of Arts in Counseling Psychology, my preferred approaches in helping my clients meet their goals and needs are in cognitive behavior therapy, narrative and dialectic behavior therapy. I have experience working with individuals, groups, couples, and families. I welcome the LGBTQ+ community.

My work as a therapist has helped reaffirm my passion and resolve in working with clients from many different and diverse backgrounds. I am always striving to learn more about the world around me and believe that the connections we form with others can help us all grow, learn, change, and become new individuals ready to face the world with the skills we’ve acquired.
